To provide a levitation conveyance device capable of translating a carrier in arbitrary directions, and heading a conveyed object in arbitrary directions.
A levitation conveyance device 1 of the present invention includes: a carrier 3 provided with a levitation mechanism 2 using compressed air; a turning body 5 disposed in a recessed opening 4 near the center of the carrier, and provided with a horizontal drive mechanism 15; and a clutch mechanism 26 for integrating the turning body 5 with the carrier 3. The turning body 5 is configured so that its relative turning in the recessed opening 4 with respect to the carrier 3 is freely performed around a vertical axis line passing through the center of a turning shaft 10. Operation of the clutch mechanism 26 and turning operation of the turning body 5 and/or the carrier 3 can translate the carrier 3 in arbitrary directions, and can head a conveyed object 8 in arbitrary directions.
