Abstract:

To provide a license acquisition system, a server apparatus and a terminal device that enable a user to easily acquire a desired license.

The terminal device 3 acquires content from a content server 1 via a communication line 4, and also acquires a license permitting use of the acquired content from the license server 2. When acquiring the license, the terminal device 3 sends terminal state information indicating a state of the terminal related to licenses and content. If there are a plurality of types of licenses corresponding to the content, the license server 2 prioritizes the licenses in an order of expected acquisition by the user according to the terminal state information, creates a list of licenses depending on the prioritization, and sends it to the terminal device 3.
