Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid for cup which has a simple structure and can securely be mounted on the opening of the cup for beverage prepared in an automatic vending machine for beverage in a cup, and also to provide an apparatus for mounting the same.
SOLUTION: The apparatus for mounting on the opening 31 of the cup 30 a flexible lid for the cup which comprises a top surface 21, a side wall 22 integrally formed with the periphery of the top surface 21, and a recess 25 integrally formed with the center of the top surface 21. This apparatus is provided with a part 11A for mounting the lid which lowers to the opening 31 of the cup 30 and presses the recess 25, and fits the side wall 22 into the opening 31 of the cup 30 through using the flexibility of the lid and then goes up and leaves the recess 25 through using the flexibility thereof, and with an elevating mechanism 11B which adequately elevates or lowers the part 11A for mounting the lid above the opening 31 of the cup 30.
