To see through food even if the surroundings are dark and a container is clouded up by providing an illuminator for illuminating and heating the container on the upper side of a lid.

A container 1 for storing cooked food or the like in the interior is provided with an upper opening covered with a lid 2, placed on a table 3 incorporating a heater to be kept warm, and displayed in a cooked food shop. When a suspension member 7 of a lifting means A is pulled up to take out the food, a weight 8 connected to the suspension member 7 through a rope 6 is pulled down in a hollow column 4 so that the lid 2 is pulled up. The container 1 and the lid 2 are respectively formed with transparent heat resisting glass to see through the interiors, an illuminator 13 is provided on the upper part in the suspension member 7 and a reflecting plate 14 is attached to the back. Thus, the interiors of the container 1 and the lid 2 are respectively illuminated and simultaneously heated so that the lid 2 can be prevented from being clouded up due to condensation of steam of food.
