Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine rich in safety capable of preventing an accident caused by the fall of a child at the time of storing water in a water tank.
SOLUTION: A lock piece 6c is provided on a lid 6 for opening/closing a laundry feeding port 41 of a water tank 4 provided in a main body 1. At the same time, on the side of the main body 1, a lock 23 is provided to be engaged/ disengaged with the lock piece 6c of the lid 6 closed by moving a plunger forward or backward corresponding to the presence/absence of power supply and a lock setting switch 24 is provided for setting the lock 23 into locked or unlocked state. When closing the lid 6, by operating the lock setting switch 24 into locked state, the lock 23 is operated into locked state and the lid 6 is locked by moving the plunger forward and engaging it with the lock piece 6c by the operation of this lock 23. By operating the lock setting switch 24 into unlocked state in such a locked state, the lock 23 is operated into unlocked state and the lid 6 is unlocked by moving the plunger backward and disengaging it from the lock piece 6c through the operation of the lock 23.
