To made a container sealed up tightly with a lid and to ensure safety at the time of discharging hot water while making formation of hot water discharge holes easy by a method wherein a separating part is provided at the surface sheet forming a lid for the container which hermetically packages food such as chow mein or the like, and a tab separating half-cut part is arranged on a composite sheet on which the surface sheet is laminated.
A container which hermetically packages instant food is opened by partially separating a composite sheet from a flange part of the container with a lid-separating tab 13 provided at the adherent area L2 side of a lid A pulled. After hot water is poured into the container through the opening, the container is covered again with the lid-separating tab 13 tucked in to the flange part 21. Furthermore, the surface sheet of the composite sheet is severed successively at a notch 15, a pull-tab separating half-cut part 14 and a severance part 9 with a surface sheet separating pull-tab 12 provided at an easily separable area L1 of the lid A pulled, and the composite sheet is separated at half-cut parts 7 for forming hot water discharging holes, and thereby a plurality of hot water discharging holes are formed. Then, the hot water in the container is poured out through the hot water discharging holes with the container tilted.
