To obtain a lidded container A having an internal fitting structure capable of satisfying a high sealability and a feasibility of opening/closing a lid body 30 simultaneously.
A lidded container A comprises a container body 10 having a bottom face 11, a peripheral side wall 12 and an in-container fitting portion 18 of the inner peripheral surface of the upper edge portion of the peripheral side wall 12, and a lid body 30 having a lid top surface 31 and an in-cover fitting part 33 to fit the in-container fitting portion 18 of the container body 10, wherein the peripheral side wall 12 of the container body 10 has portions P1 and P2, in which a vertical distance h from a reference plane L containing the bottom face 11 is more raised (h1) than others. The upper end edge 17 of the peripheral side wall 12 of the raised portions P1 and P2 merges through smoothly descending curves into the upper end edges of peripheral side walls continuing into the two sides thereof. The loci of the upper end edges of the internal fitting part 33 of the lid body 30 are shaped to be substantially identical to those of the upper end edges 17 of the peripheral side wall 12 of the container body 10.
