Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a life evaluation method and the like capable of accurately evaluating the life of a weld joint portion in view of a possible damage amount of the weld joint portion.SOLUTION: A life evaluation method for evaluating a life of a weld joint portion formed by coupling different materials before a main crack that occurs to the weld joint portion reaches a critical crack, comprises: a main-crack-length acquisition step S1 of acquiring a length of a main crack that occurs to the weld joint portion; a possible-damage-amount evaluation step S2 of evaluating an amount of possible damage to the weld joint portion by a creep deformation; creep-constant correction steps S4, S7 of correcting a creep constant serving as a factor for calculating the life of the weld joint portion based on the evaluated possible damage amount; and a life calculation step S8 of calculating the life of the weld joint portion using a predetermined calculation equation for calculating the life of the weld joint portion based on the creep constant corrected in the creep-constant correction steps S4 and S7.
