To provide a lifeboat device allowing the crew to board a lifeboat easily, quickly, and safely, allowing the lifeboat to be located outward from the broadside and lowered to the sea surface in a stable state, and capable of preventing the occurrence of accidents such as the damage of the lifeboat and the cutoff of confining ropes.
A frame 10 is fitted to a mother ship 1, and a pair of support arms 15 are erectably supported on the frame 10. Hold sections 16 capable of holding the coupling lugs of the lifeboat 5 in a releasably coupled state are formed at the tip sections of the support arms 15. The lugs of the lifeboat 5 are held by the hold sections 16 in the coupled state with the support arms 15 erected upward, and the lifeboat 5 is held in a stored state. The lugs of the lifeboat 5 are separated from the hold sections 16 with the support arms 15 prostrated forward, and the lifeboat 5 is released outward from the broadside 4 of the mother ship 1. Confining ropes 19 for lifting or lowering the lifeboat 5 are releasably connected to the lifeboat 5 via connecting tools 20. The confining ropes 19 are wound or delivered by lift means to lift or lower the lifeboat 5.
