PURPOSE: To provide a lift control device capable of stopping a luminaire in a prescribed stop position, even when stopped lowering down in the halfway and restarted, by providing a specific constitution, in the captioned lift control device liftably suspending the luminaire with a wire.

CONSTITUTION: A device comprises a lift changeover switch 2 arranged in a power supply circuit between an AC power supply 1 and an electric motor M winding a wire, relay 4 interrupting the power supply circuit and a control circuit connected to the switch 2 and the relay 4 through an interface 5. The control circuit comprises a counter control means 7 actuated by a signal output from the interface 5, pulse generating device 6, up/down counter 8 counting a pulse from the pulse generating device 6 in accordance with a direction of the counter control means 7, setting switch 9 setting a position of lowering down a luminaire and a comparator 10 outputting a stop signal for actuating the relay 4 when conformed values between the up/down counter 8 and the setting switch 9.
