PURPOSE: To decrease a distance between adjoining skiers conveyed and to improve conveying capacity by disposing belts for relay to respective belts for conveyance rotated in an endless state between the upper and the lower part of a slope, and seating a skier sideways to the belt for conveyance.

CONSTITUTION: A lift device comprises a belt 2 for conveyance to convey skiers from the lower part of a slope 1 to the upper part thereof and lower and upper belts 3 and 4 for relay disposed to the lower and the upper part of the slope 1. The belt 2 for conveyance comprises a belt guide frame 7 secured to a side wall 5 of an indoor skiing ground through a horizontal arm 6, a belt body 8 slidably engaged with a dovetail groove, and a driving means for the belt body. Further, a number of seat parts 8A at which skiers are seated are disposed at equal intervals to the belt body 8. The skier is seated at the seat part 8A in state that a pair of skis are placed in a direction extending at right angles with the moving direction of the belt body 8.
