Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lift for use with containers that can carry loads into and out of a given position in a multiple stack container efficiently, safely and reliably, needs no installation of a dedicated travel rail frame and the like, and is extendable and transportable.
SOLUTION: A top travel rail 2 is laid along the top edge of upper-row ones of laterally aligned containers 1 arranged in a multiple stack layout, and an intermediate travel rail 3 is laid along that lower edge of the containers 1 which is middled among the container rows. The lift comprises vertical guide rails 9a installed at the same pitch as the container width for lateral travel motion along the travel rails 2 and 3, a liftable saddle 7b having a deck 7a and vertically movable along the vertical guide rails 9a, a traveling saddle 8a disposed on the vertical guide rails 9a and provided with top traveling rollers 11 rollable along the top travel rail 2, guide rollers 13 for guiding the travel motion along the intermediate travel rail 3, and an electric chain block 5 for moving the liftable saddle 7b vertically.
