To provide a lifting apparatus constituted to be compact and to be independent of a structure to be lifted.
The lifting apparatus includes a frame 38 having a supporting member 30 for supporting the structure 24 to be lifted, and legs 36 each comprising a movable member 32 for supporting the supporting member 30 in a vertically movable manner, and an immobile member 34 for holding the movable member 32 slidably; belts 42 hanging with the ends fixed to the upper parts of the immobile members 34, and turned around at guide rollers 40C mounted to the lower parts of the movable members 32, and guided upward along the side faces of the movable members 32; and a motor 46 installed at the supporting member 30 of the frame 38 to normally and reversely drive rotation bodies 44 for winding and rewinding the upward guided belts 42.
