Abstract:
To increase safety by surely stopping a lifting body in an emergency.
This device is formed by disposing a drum brake as braking means (39) in a lifting body (8) which moves vertically along a rail (7). In this case, the device comprises torque detection means for detecting a torque acting on a brake drum and stop means (40) for forcibly stopping the lifting body (8). Then, the device is formed so that the stop means (40) is operated, when the torque detection means detects that a torque exceeding a prescribed value acts on the brake drum.
