To provide a lifting and recovery device capable of preventing a lifting body from protruding outside of a broadside and being a hindrance when the device is not used.

A lifting and recovery device 21 which is attached to a broadside 221 of a watercraft 22 comprises: a rail 23 extending toward vertical direction; and a lifting body 30 for lifting up and down on the rail 23. The lifting body 30 is folded to a non-use position extending along the rail 23 from a use position extending toward outside of on the rail 23 so that protrusion of the lifting body 30 toward outside of the broadside is avoided.
