Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an asymmetric catalyst widely acting on the whole ketones, capable of synthesizing an optically active siloxynitrile.
SOLUTION: This ligand is represented by general formula 1 (R1, R2 and R3 are each a substituent group on an aromatic ring; X is P or As; n is 1-3). This asymmetric catalyst comprises a metal bonded to the catechol part of the ligand, for example, see figure 1.
