Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an asymmetric catalyst capable of widely acting on ketones in general.
SOLUTION: This asymmetric catalyst as a ligand is shown by general formula (1) (wherein, R1, R2 and R3 are each a substituent on the corresponding aromatic ring; R4 is H, methyl or an electron-attracting group; a cyclized structure may be formed with two R4 groups; R5 is methyl, methoxy, dimethyl or an electron-attracting group; X is P or As; and n is 1-3).
