Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a wheel and its production method, by which a design pattern on a disc which is visible on setting a light alloy wheel in a vehicle may be gorgeously backed up and its light weight may be kept.
CONSTITUTION: Recessed grooves 2-1, 2-2 having 0.1mm or more in depth are provided synchronizing with a pattern in order to stress the outline of letters or patterns or make patterns on the side face recognizable when wheels are mounted and an inorganic material or a macromolecular substance having a different color or reflected light from the material of for constituting the wheel is fitted or welded in the recesses. It is effective that the bottom area of the provided recesses are made wider than the opening area and an inlaid wheel can be obtained by fitting an insertion piece in the recess. In the production method, after the above material different from the wheel has been fitted or welded in the provided recess, it is made flat at the same level with that of the opening face of recess and the outline of recess is clarified. The fitting piece is prevented from slipping off by swelling and forcibly pressing-in its part when the piece is fitted.
