Title:
LIGHT BEAM SCANNER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3385766
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the light quantity distribution of a light beam being a light source and to reduce the dimension of a cover shielding a polygon mirror and a sheet glass common in incident emitting surface as small as possible.
CONSTITUTION: The sheet glass 12 fitted to the opening part of the shield cover 16 of the polygon mirror 14 is inclined so that a line which the incident surface of the glass 12 is intersected with a meridional plane has a prescribed angle to an optical axis of a scan lens 18, and is arranged by being inclined so that the incident surface has the angle of ≥45° and ≤80° to the meridional plane. Thus, the change in a reflectance of a mirror surface owing the difference of the incident angle of the light beam L is canceled by the change in the transmissivity of the sheet glass 12, and an incident angle range is reduced while holding the effect that the light quantity distribution is fixed, and the sheet 12 and the shiled cover 16 are miniaturized, and the scan 18 is arranged close to the polygon mirror 14.
