Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an invariably sharp image by using an achromatic Fθ lens as an Fθ lens.
CONSTITUTION: The achromatic Fθ lens 4A which has power chromatic aberration compensated excellently is used as the Fθ lens. The achromatic Fθ lens 4A consists of three part groups. The optical axis 41 of the achromatic Fθ lens 4A is arranged at right angles to the exposure surface of a photosensitive body 6. Consequently, even if laser light varies in wavelength owing to the self-heating of a laser light source, variation in ambient temperature, etc., the light beam on the exposed surface does not shift in position in a main scanning line direction.
