Abstract:
PURPOSE: To suppress pitch irregularity of main scanning with a period of two times of main scanning caused by the lack of precision in the holding of an image rotating optical means.
CONSTITUTION: Plural light sources 1 are independently modulated by a modulation means 2, plural light beams are radiated and made to collimated beams by a light beam collimating means 3. Thereafter, an image rotating means 4, which rotates the beams for one revolution by a 1/2 rotation, is placed. Thereafter, a light beam enlarging means 5, which enlarges the beam diameters of the light beams, is arranged. Then, a light beam deflection means 6 which rotates while deflecting the light beams and a light beam converging means 7 are arranged and a photosensitive material P, which is held on a cylindrical member 8, is scanned by the light beams. The means 4 is rotated with a 1/2 rotational speed of the rotational speed of the means 6.
