PURPOSE: To enable observation of welding conditions by the captioned welding machine, by reflecting the light passing through the optical lens provided in the luminous flux reflected from the part being welded to the side, and projecting on the image receiving plane through light relaxation device.
CONSTITUTION: The light from a powerful light source disposed in the center of a converging mirror 1, for instance, the light from a xenon lamp 3 is converged on a work to be welded 8 by means of the converging mirror 1. The emission light from this projecting point is passed into an optical lens 5, and is directed to the side by a reflecting mirror 4 to pass into light relaxation device 6. As this device 6, if, for example, a slit is used, the slit regulates the quantity of light and at the same time works as slit lens to project the relaxed image on an image receiving plane 7. Therefore, while observing the welding condition of the welding point, the welding operation can be continued.
