PURPOSE: To supply articles at prescribed intervals by connecting plural conveyors between a supply conveyor and a receiving conveyor, respectively controlling speeds, and timing by opening them at prescribed intervals after once abutting, in a feeder to an article processor.

CONSTITUTION: A feeder module 4 composed of a clearance changing/ accumulating conveyor G, a weighing conveyor M, an accelerating conveyor A and a phase adjusting conveyor P is arranged between a supply conveyor S and a transfer conveyor TC to a packer to continuously adjust speeds of belts 5a to 5d of the conveyors A to P. Articles 2 are put in a lightly abutting state on the conveyor G to adjust speeds by the weiging conveyor M so as to time the abutted articles to the flight of the packer W. Next, the articles are accelerated up to a speed of the packer W by the accelerating conveyor A to match a phase of the articles 2 by the conveyor P. The articles are sent to the packer W from the transfer conveyor TC to be thus supplied in the prescribed timing.
