Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a light-diffusing acrylic resin improved in light diffusing property and a total transmittance and giving colorless transmitted light, by adding a nepheline syenite powder of a specified particle diameter to a methyl methacrylate polymer. CONSTITUTION:1-30 pts.wt. nepheline syenite powder of a mean particle diameter of 1-20mu and, optionally, other organic and inorganic transparent substance powders are added to 100 pts.wt. methyl methacrylate polymer containing it least 85% methyl methacrylate and having an MW of 50000-500000, and the resulting mixture is molten and kneaded.
