PURPOSE: To provide a light diffusion sheet which has excellent diffusion anisotropy and has good productivity (yield).

CONSTITUTION: This light diffusion sheet 6 is a member to be used for a display device utilizing diffusion and transmission of light, such as back light module 3A of a liquid crystal display device, and is formed by sticking and fixing a light diffusion woven fabric 7, which is formed by using fibers (polycarbonate fibers) having a higher refractive index as warp 71 and fibers (acrylic fibers) having a lower refractive index as weft 72 and weaving the warp and the weft while alternately interlinking both, to the surface of a transparent resin sheet 8. The high diffusivity is exhibited in the transverse direction of a liquid crystal display screen and about middle diffusivity is exhibited in a longitudinal direction if this light diffusion sheet 6 is arranged in the state that the warp 71 is oriented in the longitudinal direction of the liquid crystal display screen and that the weft 72 is oriented in the transverse direction of the liquid crystal display screen.
