Abstract:

To provide a light emission control device that suppresses a variation in a current flowing in a light-emitting diode and a variation in light emission amount of the light-emitting diode.

A light emission control device includes a light-emitting diode (LED)104, a CPU 140, and an LED stroboscope control unit 120. The stroboscope control unit 120 includes a first current control circuit 110 that gives priority to the size of light emission amount of the LED 104, and a second current control circuit 112 that gives priority to the accuracy of light emission amount of the LED 104. The CPU 140 selects, according to the size of light emission amount required for causing the LED 104 to emit light, and the accuracy of light emission amount, either one of the first current control circuit 110 or the second current control circuit 112, and uses the selected current control circuit to pass a light emission current though the LED 104 for light emission.
