Title:
LIGHT EMITTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP03176901
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To realize a heated light emitter emitting light in multiple colors and not broken easily, by scattering or applying rare earth elements of more than one kind on the porous aggregate made of metal or ceramics.

CONSTITUTION: An aggregate 2 made of wire rods of metal, such as stainless, or ceramics formed into mesh is provided in a ring member 1. A light emitting material 4 is adhered to the surface of the aggregate 2. The light emitting material 4, combining with oxidized salt of rare earth element of at least more than one kind, is scattered on or applied to the aggregate 2. For example, the light emitting material 4, impregnating aluminium fiber with nitrate or salt hydroxide of cerium and baking it, makes oxidized salt of cerium adhere to the surface of the aggregate 2. The light emitter thereby formed is heated to emit light in orange color from the aluminium fiber and in yellow color from cerium salt. Since the aggregate 2 is made of metal, it is not easily broken by heating.
