To readily correct the density variation of IN-OUT, by use of an IN-OUT variation correction value, that is varied, for example, when elements of an image formation unit are replaced in an image forming apparatus using a light emitting apparatus for sequentially lighting light emitting arrays.
The light emitting apparatus comprises an LED print head (LPH) in which a plurality of light emitting devices are aligned; a lighting clock count calculating unit 73 for generating lighting signals to the plurality of light emitting devices in the LED print head according to input image data; an IN-OUT variation correction control unit 100 for performing correction calculation of the IN-OUT variation, as a light quantity variation correction value with respect to the light emitting arrays, when the light emitting arrays are mounted on the image forming apparatus having a target to be irradiated with; and a light quantity variation correction value storage unit 72 for providing the corrected value to the lighting clock number calculation unit 73.
