Title:
LIGHT-EMITTING BODY AND PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2009127003
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a light-emitting body which exhibits high contrast and improved light-emission efficiency without causing an increase in process cost; and to provide a plasma display panel.

The light-emitting body is an assembly of light-emitting particles 100. The light-emitting particle 100 constituting the light-emitting body is equipped with: a light-emitting part 101 which is excited by an ultraviolet ray and emits visible rays in a predetermined wavelength region as fluorescence; a black body part 103 which is provided in a nearly central part inside the light-emitting part 101 and absorbs visible rays; and a sub-wavelength structure layer 102 which is provided in the boundary part between the light-emitting part 101 and the black body part 103 and selectively reflects the visible rays emitted by the light-emitting part 101. The plasma display panel 300 uses the light-emitting body in a fluorescent material layer 322 being a light-emitting body.
