To provide a light-emitting device and a display device using it as a light source which can minimize a light loss caused by a diffuser sheet while increasing luminance uniformity by preventing non-light-emission area on a fluorescent layer in the acting of the light-emitting device.
The light-emitting device includes: a first substrate and a second substrate which are arranged to be opposite to each other; and an electron emitting element, wherein an electron emitting unit is arranged on one surface of the first substrate and a light-emitting unit is arranged on one surface of the second substrate. The electron emitting element includes first electrodes which are disposed with each other at a distance, a second electrode which is disposed between the first electrodes with it parallel thereto, and a first electron emitting section disposed on a side surface of the first electrode facing the second electrode. The first electrode and the second electrode are disposed by being tilted to one of the horizontal direction and perpendicular direction.
