To more improve the quality and manufacturing yield of a light emitting device.

The light emitting device includes a package member, a light emitting element provided in the package member, a first phosphor layer provided on the light emitting element and having a first phosphor, and a second phosphor layer provided on the first phosphor layer and having a second phosphor. In the light emitting device, the first phosphor has higher light emission efficiency than the second phosphor.
