To provide a light emitting device, along with a light emitting module and a lighting system, capable of exhibiting improved monochromatic properties with a red light emitting wavelength, achieving ideal illumination for rearing plants, and preventing deterioration due to gas and moisture.
The light emitting device includes: a resin vessel 61 including a recess 61a; a conductor section disposed while being exposed to the inside of the recess 61a of the resin vessel 61; and a compound semiconductor layer that is provided inside the recess 61a and is electrically connected to the conductor section and includes a pn junction type emission section. The emission section includes a light emitting element 30 having a layered structure comprising composition formula of (AlXGa1-X)YIn1-YP (0≤X≤1, 0<Y≤1); and a sealing resin 65 that has translucency to light output from the light emitting element 30, seals the light emitting element 30 in the recess 61, and is made of a resin composition where a blend mass ratio of an episulfide compound and a mercaptan compound ranges from 0.02 to 1.5.
