Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device for improving uniformity of brightness and reduce leakage light by reducing brightness unevenness.SOLUTION: An uneven pattern 8 constituted by plural protrusion parts 9 for reflecting light emitted from a light emitting element 11 on an inner face is formed on a reflection light emitting face 5a of a light guide member 5. When an interval between light emitting elements is designated as L, thickness of the light guide member is designated as t, an angle formed by a segment obtained by projecting an optical path from the light emitting element to the reflection light emitting face to a face parallel to a light incident face and a segment extending toward the reflection light emitting face is designated as a light incident angle, a maximum angle range that the reflection light can take when the incident light is inner-face-reflected on the reflection light emitting face is designated as θ, and a range on a side away from the light emitting element using a segment extending in a thickness direction in the angle range θ as a reference, the angle range θ gets smaller as a value of the incident angle gets larger in such a range that the incident angle is smaller than tan-1(L/t). Also, the angle range θ falls in both of a positive range and a negative range.
