Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic light emitting element with high luminous efficiency, and to provide an organometallic complex with high luminous efficiency.SOLUTION: An organic light emitting element is constituted by using a phosphorescent organometallic complex that includes: pyridine or monocyclic diazine including a carbon atom, to which an ortho-metalated aryl group is bonded, adjacent to one side of a nitrogen atom coordinating to iridium or platinum, while the 6-membered aromatic heterocycle or the aryl group has a carbon atom bonding to one of a tricycle [5.2.1.0(2,6)] decanyl group, a norbornyl group, and an adamantyl group.
