Title:
LIGHT EMITTING ELEMENT MODULE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS649670
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable the positional fluctuation of an optical fiber due to thermal effect to be restrained from occurring by a method wherein a V-shape groove is cut in the optical fiber fixing part of an optical fiber fixing stem to fix the optical fiber in the V-shape groove. CONSTITUTION:A light emitter diode 3 with a heat sink 2 mounted on a carrier 1 is fixed to a stem 4 while an optical fiber 5 with a bulb at its tip is fixed to an optical fiber fixing part of the stem 4 by solder 6 to be contained in a package 8. A V-shape groove 4a to stably fix the optical fiber 5 is cut in the optical fiber fixing part of the stem 4. This V-shape groove 4a containing the optical fiber 5 is bonded by fixing solder 6. Through these procedures, the optical fiber 5 is fixed to the V-shape groove 4a to cut down the optimum adjusting time of the fiber 5 and the optical axis of the light emitting element in case of fixing the fiber 5. Furthermore, the slip in the optical axis of fiber 5 due to thermal effect can be restrained from occurring.
