Title:
LIGHT EMITTING ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2012142218
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a light emitting element having uniform bright spot and luminance distributions and suppressed in variation of luminance caused by the charge up of a phosphor.

A light emitting element 20 comprises: an electron emission source 23 and a cathode 22 on a back substrate 21; and a phosphor 26 receiving an electromagnetic wave to emit light on a front substrate 24. The light emitting element 20 comprises an electromagnetic wave source 27 between the electron emission source 23 and the phosphor 26, the electromagnetic wave source being an anode relative to the cathode 22 and receiving electrons emitted from the electron emission source 23 to emit an electromagnetic wave. In the light emitting element 20, when electrons are applied from the electron emission source 23, an electromagnetic wave is emitted radially from the electromagnetic wave source 27 receiving the applied electrons, and the phosphor 26 receives the electromagnetic wave to emit light.
