Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible light emitting element having excellent durability, luminous efficiency and emission luminance, and usable for a surface light source for a full-color display, a backlight, an illumination light source or the like, or a light source array for a printer or the like.
SOLUTION: This light emitting element is composed by forming, on a flexible support substrate having a gas barrier property, a positive electrode, one or more organic compound layers including at least a luminescent layer, and a transparent negative electrode. The heat-ray expansion coefficient of the flexible support substrate is 20 ppm/°C or less.
