To provide a light emitting element whose driving voltage increase due to accumulation of luminous time and resistance value increase due to film thickness increase are limited, and to provide a luminous unit using it.
The main feature of this invention is that the light emitting element has primary, secondary and tertiary layers between a primary electrode and secondary electrode arranged to counter each other. The primary layer is arranged closer to the side of the primary electrode than the secondary electrode, and the tertiary layer is arranged closer to the side of the secondary electrode than the secondary layer. The primary layer comprises an aromatic amine compound and substance that shows electron acceptability to the foregoing compound. Meanwhile, the secondary layer comprises a substance with higher electron transportability than a hole, and substance that shows electron-donating capability to the foregoing substance.
