To provide a light emitting organic thin film display of a high productivity in which without damaging an element by laser machining, and in which patterning of an upper part electrode can be easily made in an arbitrary shape.
This is a light emitting organic thin film display in which a substrate 1, a lower part electrode 2 formed on the substrate 1, an organic electroluminescence medium layer 4 which is installed at the lower part electrode 2 and which at least contains a luminous layer, and an upper part electrode 5 formed on the organic electroluminescence medium layer 4, and which respectively makes an overlapping part of the lower part electrode 2, the organic electroluminescence medium layer 4 and the upper part electrode 5 as a light emission picture element, and in the organic thin film light emission display in which the upper part electrode 5 and the organic electroluminescence medium layer 4 are made as a predetermined shape by a laser machining, an oxide film 3 is formed at least at the laser machining part 6 of the surface of the upper part electrode 5.
