Title:
LIGHT-EMITTING VANE AND SNOW DEPTH MONITORING DEVICE AND SNOW DEPTH MEASURING DEVICE USING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005076402
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a light-emitting vane suitable for not only guiding a visual line but also monitoring and measuring a snow depth, and to provide a snow depth measuring device using the same.

The light-emitting vane 1 comprises a vane body 11 having an arrow shape, an emitter 12 mounted at a front end T of the vane body 11 for emitting a light to the arrow direction of the vane body 11, and a magnifying lens 12 for magnifying the light emitted by the emitter 12 in at least one direction. The snow depth measuring device 100 comprises the light-emitting vane 1 arranged so that the light is applied from a vertical upper side to a road side, an image pickup device 2 arranged with a visual line from an oblique upper side to the road side for receiving the emitted light reflected from a snow surface S, and an image processor 3 for extracting a portion corresponding to a region to which the emitted light of the self-illuminous vane 1 is applied from an image picked up by the image pickup device 2 and computing the snow depth in accordance with the characteristic amount of the portion.
