Abstract:

To provide an improved, light engine poppet valve that is composed so that a valve head is mechanically attached to a valve stem portion by a locking device having a fitting joint portion.

The light poppet valve 10 for engines is attached to a hollow, cylindrical stem portion 12, and has a valve head portion 16 made from a light material having heat resistance property. The attachment is made with a mechanically locking interfitting joint 36 on an extending portion 34 of the valve head 16 at a preselected distance.
