To provide a light guide plate and a lighting device that can illuminate the illumination light uniformly and efficiently only on the area that requires illumination.
The front light 10 is constructed of a light guide material 9 having a light guide body 12 that is nearly rectangular in cross section and annular shaped and a light source unit 11 that irradiates light into this light guide body 12. An incidence face 12a is formed at a part of the light guide body 12, and the light source unit 11 is fitted to the light guide body 12 contacting with this incidence face 12a. The inner circumference side of the annular light guide body 12 constituting the light guide material 9 is made as an annular light outgoing face 12b that emits the light introduced into the light guide body 12. The outer circumference side of the annular light guide body 12 is made as a reflecting face 12c on which many reflecting grooves 14 having cross sectionally wedge shape are formed and which reflects light toward the light outgoing face 12b. In the front light 10, the circular region inside the annular light guide body 12 can be uniformly illuminated.
