Abstract:
To provide a light guide plate capable of attaining local dimming wherein light is not leaked without generating a bright line and a dark line with a simple structure in an edge light type surface light source device.
In the light guide plate having an emitting surface, an opposite surface opposite to the emitting surface, and at least one incident surface held between the emitting surface and the opposite surface, at least one of the emitting surface and the opposite surface has a plurality of random grooves perpendicular to the incident surface.
