PURPOSE: To obtain the light and heat sensitive recording material good in lightfastness of an image by incorporating a specified diazo compound and a specified triarylamine compound or N-alkyl-diarylamine compound in the recording layer.

CONSTITUTION: The light and heat sensitive recording material contains the diazo compound enclosed in microcapsules, the coupling component, and an organic salt in a recording layer and at least one kind of triarylamine compound and N-alkyl-diarylamine compound, preferably, the compound represented by the formula and the like. In the formula, Ar1 is an alkoxy or arylthio- or diarylamine-substituted aryl group or the like; Ar2 is an alkyl- or alkylthio- or arylthio-substituted aryl group or the like; and Ar3 is a nonsubstituted or alkylthio-substituted aryl group or the like.
