Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light oil composition, having specific contents of sulfur and an alkali extract, comprising a solvent extract such as a crude oil and capable of maintaining lubricating performances of a distribution type fuel pump and preventing a driving torque of the pump and the abrasion and friction from increasing.
SOLUTION: This light oil composition has ≤0.05 mass % content of sulfur and 0.005-1 mass % content of an alkali extract and comprises a solvent extract obtained by extracting a crude oil or a petroleum fraction prepared from the crude oil (e.g. a paraffin base crude oil, naphthene base crude oil, a heavy light oil, an atmospheric distillation bottom oil or a vacuum distillation bottom oil) with a solvent such as furfural, a 1-4C aliphatic alcohol, water or N- methylpyrrolidone by using an extractor such as a mixer-settler type extractor, a packed tower, a perforated plate tower or a rotating disc column.
