Abstract:
To provide a light receiving element with which it is possible to further improve efficiency of light condensation in a light receiving region.SOLUTION: A light receiving element comprises: a substrate 2 including at least one light receiving region 10 and having a light incident surface 2a into which light enters; and a metalens 3 formed so as to condense light entering the light incident surface 2a in the light incident surface 2a of the substrate 2. When seen from a thickness direction (axis Z direction) of the substrate 2, the metalens 3 is formed so as to overlap both an adjacent region R1 which is adjacent to the light receiving region 10 and a peripheral region R2 which is continuous to the adjacent region R1 and is inside of the light receiving region 10 along an outer edge of the light receiving region 10. When seen from the axis Z direction, a non-forming region R3 where the metalens 3 is not formed, is provided in a region of the light incident surface 2a that overlaps a middle region of the light receiving region 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
