To match human visual sensitivity with light sensitivity obtained through a light receiving element without any influence of the infrared range longer in wavelength than the visible light wavelength range.
The light receiving element as an embodiment of the present invention includes a plurality of photoelectric converting elements 2a and 2b and a color filters 9 having a plurality of colors paired with the plurality of photoelectric converting elements 2a and 2b. A portion of the color filter 9 is a first filter 5 having transmission characteristics in the visible light wavelength range. The other portion of the color filter 9 has transmission suppression characteristics in the visible light wavelength range and has transmission characteristics of nearly the same level with the first filter 5 on the wavelength range longer than the visible light wavelength range.
