To provide a process for producing a light reflection body made of a polybutyrene terephthalate resin which is extremely high in the surface gloss of molded goods and is extremely little in the amt. of the gases to be produced and, therefore, allows the direct formation of a light reflection metallic layer without the execution of a primer coating, such as under-coating, on the molded articles and has not only high mirror finish property and high brightness feeling but also the excellent adhesion property to the metallic layer and heat resistance.
The molded goods are formed by molding a resin compsn. compounded with (B) 5 to 80 pts.wt. polybutyrene terephthalate resin and (C) 2 to 50 pts.wt. non-fibrous inorg. fillers of ≤10 μm in average primary particle size to (A) 100 pts.wt. polybutyrene terephthalate resin having a terminal carboxyl group quantity of ≤50 meq/kg. The light reflection metallic layer is directly formed on at least part of such molded goods, by which the light reflection body made of the polybutyrene terephthalate resin is produced.
