Abstract:
To provide a light resistance improving agent easy to handle, capable of improving the light resistance of a styryl dye without substantially damaging its light absorption property.
This light resistance improving agent for styryl dyes comprises an azo-based organometallic complex with one or more azo compound(s) bound to a metal atom. A light absorber comprising the above light resistance improving agent and a styryl dye, and an optical recording medium containing the above light resistance improving agent or the above light absorber are provided respectively.
