To provide a coating material which is more excellent in light resistance, non-bleed-out property, compatibility, water resistance and heat resistance than a coating material using a conventional ultraviolet absorber, and suppresses photodegradation and has improved durability when used alone or in combination with various resins.
The coating material contains a polymer composition containing an ultraviolet absorbing polymer (A) and a dispersion of a polyurethane (B). The ultraviolet absorbing polymer (A) is a polymerization product obtained by polymerizing a polymerizable component containing a compound (a) having a double bond and an ultraviolet absorbing group and a double bond-containing component (h). The dispersion of the polyurethane (B) is an aqueous dispersion of a reaction product obtained by reacting a reactive component containing a compound (b) having an active hydrogen-containing group and an anionic hydrophilic group (other than a hydroxyl group), a polyol (c) and/or a polyamine (d), and a polyisocyanate (e).
